Zoom: a meeting, not a broadcast
Zoom excels at what it was built for - two-way conversation among dozens of participants. At a one-way event it starts to creak: video quality is limited and hostage to each participant's network, any viewer can accidentally unmute or turn on a camera, and participant ceilings require growing plans.
Privacy is meeting-grade: a shared link and password that travel just as easily. And with a filtered audience, the Zoom app itself is not installed for a large share of viewers. Zoom is right for an interactive class of a few dozen people who know each other; not for a wedding with 200 viewers.

YouTube gives you world-class infrastructure and excellent quality for free, and that is a real achievement. For a conservative audience the problem is double: YouTube is blocked on most filtered networks, and next to your stream appear recommendations you do not control. A Torah broadcast opening beside an immodest video is not a rare glitch; it is the platform's mechanism.
A dedicated platform: when it pays off
A platform like Bima was built around the needs the giants ignore: personal identity for every viewer, a watermark on the screen, a clean watch page that passes filtered networks, a complete log of who entered and when, and a recording that stays under the organizer's control.
Pricing is usage-based, not a subscription. The logic is simple: if the event is private, if the audience is filtered, or if knowing who watches matters - the dedicated platform does things the free ones cannot. If none of those apply, YouTube is free and a reasonable choice.
