Two audiences, one broadcast
Not every event is either closed or open. An institution's conference can be public on YouTube while the ceremony itself stays on personal codes; a fundraising evening can run closed for donors and open to the public without the part where amounts are named.
Bima publishes the same broadcast to an external destination in parallel. No second computer, no extra software, and no second network connection out of the hall - the copy leaves from our server, not from your room.

What the console shows
Each destination has its own state - idle, connecting, live, error - and the last error is shown as it came. A destination YouTube rejected because of an expired key does not disappear quietly; it says what happened and when.
The external destination is independent of the protected broadcast. If YouTube stops accepting, your viewers on codes feel nothing.
What to know before you switch it on
What goes to the external destination is the broadcast itself, without the personal watermark. The watermark is drawn for each viewer separately in Bima's player - an external destination has no identified viewer, so there is nothing to stamp.
Which means the external destination is a deliberate decision to publish. If the content is not meant to travel, do not switch it on for that broadcast.

Can I stream to YouTube and to codes at the same time?
Yes, that is the point. Viewers on codes get the protected player with a watermark; YouTube gets a copy of the same broadcast.
Does it reduce the quality of the main stream?
No. The copy is made on our media server rather than in the hall, so it does not compete for the connection you are broadcasting on.
What about an unlisted YouTube link?
An "unlisted" YouTube link is not a private link - anyone who receives it can pass it on, and there is no way to know who watched. If that is the requirement, it is exactly what the codes and the personal watermark are for.
