Your First Broadcast - From Zero to Live
Create a broadcast, add a source, broadcast from the browser, and invite one viewer for testing. Ten minutes.
Steps
- 1
Log in to the Console
On the homepage, click 'Log in to system', authenticate with a password or Google. You will arrive at 'My Organizations' - click on the organization's 'Broadcasts'.
Where: bima.live/login
- 2
Create a Broadcast
In the 'New Broadcast' card, give it a name (e.g., 'Weekly Lesson - Saturday Night') and click 'Create Broadcast'. The broadcast is created in draft mode - closed to viewers.
Where: Broadcasts > New Broadcast
- 3
Add a Broadcast Source
On the broadcast page, in the 'Broadcast Sources' panel, click 'Add Source', give it a name ('Hall Camera'). You will receive a broadcast key - copy it now. It is displayed only once.
Where: Broadcast Page > Broadcast Sources
Tip: If you missed it - 'Replace Key' issues a new one and the old one is invalidated.
- 4
Schedule the Broadcast
In the Status panel, click 'Schedule'. Now viewers with a code can enter the waiting room. The broadcast itself is not yet live.
Where: Broadcast Page > Status
- 5
Broadcast from the Browser
Open the broadcast page at media.bima.live/harness/, select a camera and microphone, paste the key, and click 'Broadcast'. Within seconds you will see 'Connected' - and in the console, the source will switch to connected status.
Where: media.bima.live/harness/
Tip: Works from a phone and on a filtered network.
- 6
Go Live
In the Status panel, click 'Go Live'. From this moment, viewers in the waiting room will see the broadcast.
Where: Broadcast Page > Status
- 7
Issue a Code for Testing
In the 'Viewing Codes' panel, click 'Issue Personal Code', enter a name ('Test'), and copy the code and the viewing link.
Where: Broadcast Page > Viewing Codes
- 8
View as a Viewer
Open the viewing link on your phone (or in an incognito window), enter the code. You will see the broadcast with your watermark. In the console, in the 'Viewers in Broadcast' panel, you will see yourself in the list.
Where: Viewing Link
- 9
Finish
Finally, click 'End Broadcast'. The collected recording will appear in the Recording panel within minutes.
Where: Broadcast Page > Status
