Revoke Viewer Authorization - And Disconnect Within Two Minutes
When someone should no longer be watching: one click, and their player stops.
Steps
- 1
Find the Viewer
On the broadcast page, in the 'Viewing Codes' panel, find the row by name or group.
Where: Broadcast Page > Viewing Codes
- 2
Revoke
Click 'Revoke Authorization' and confirm. The row changes to 'Revoked' status.
- 3
What Happens to the Viewer
Their player continues until the end of the current token - up to two minutes - and then stops with a message. The code no longer works, even from another device.
- 4
Just Disconnect, Without Revoking?
If you want to 'kick' a viewer without invalidating their code (for example, the wrong device is playing), in the 'Viewers in Broadcast' panel, click 'Disconnect' next to the session. The code remains valid, and they can re-enter.
Where: Broadcast Page > Viewers in Broadcast
How you know it worked
- The code is in 'Revoked' status.
- Within two minutes, the viewer disappears from the 'Viewers' list (or appears as 'Left').
- In the audit log: 'Viewing authorization revoked' with your name.
