Multi-Camera Streaming Without a Production Crew
A clean cut from the speaker to the audience, from the chuppah to the dance floor - what once required a broadcast van and four crew members now happens from one browser.
The old model and the new one
In traditional production every camera is cabled to a mixing desk, next to it a director, next to them a technician. That model produces excellent quality - at a cost that puts it beyond most community events.
In Bima's model every camera is an independent source connecting to the broadcast over the network: a phone on the chuppah, a phone on the crowd, a computer with slides. They are joined on the server, not in gear at the venue - so all the venue needs is the cameras themselves.
Switching cameras: one hand on the browser
The broadcast control room shows all sources live, and a click switches the on-air picture. No hardware, no software - a browser tab, even on a phone. A single operator runs an entire event this way.
The pipeline runs on the server, so even if the operator's laptop dies mid-event, the broadcast continues in the last chosen state. The returning operator finds the control room exactly as they left it.
And when no hand is free: the smart director
For events without a dedicated operator, Bima's automatic director switches by what is happening: whoever speaks gets the frame, under stability rules that prevent nervous jumping between cameras.
The common practical blend: the smart director runs most of the evening, and the operator takes manual control at the key moments - the ceremony, the keynote - where full control matters. Minutes of work, not an evening of it.

How many cameras can connect?
For most events two to four is the practical range. Technically more is possible, but every camera demands network and attention - and value fades beyond four.
Do the cameras have to match?
No. Mix a phone, a webcam and a professional camera with a capture card. Each source enters on its own channel and the system unifies them.
What happens if one camera disconnects?
The broadcast switches automatically to an available source or a branded waiting screen - no black screen. When the camera returns, it is available for switching again.
